Analysis Paralysis

Just back from watching Ishaqzade. Super impressed by Parineeti Chopra. She completely overshadowed Arjun Kapoor. Decent movie but the director missed out on adding a few more layers in the 2nd half.  We spent enough time trying to figure if it was a genuine shortcoming of director or was he limited by the intent to play to the galleries.

More importantly I wanted to talk about my long vacation. Just like the time before I joined Google, I have quite some time before I move to Mumbai for gaining some consulting experience. Long hot summer vacations need not be always fun. Few things I realised/experienced during this time

Telugu movie industry has gone to the dogs. Hardly a ‘good movie’ coming nowadays

Teleshopping channels seem to be more informative than the news channels of the day

Keeping yourself fit is not overrated. Getting pampered at home surely is

Finished reading ‘India after Gandhi’ by Ramachandra Guha. Amazing read. Just spellbound by the complications in our nation and the thin thread of optimism that binds us

Corruption has become a hygiene factor for politicians. It is no longer a issue that goes against them by the public. Atleast in Andhra

Confucious said “Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.
Seems so true during idle times

I always thought that I was someone who is ‘happy go lucky’ which for me is defined by peace maarna over most things that people take a lot of tension over.  But apparently it is not true. I am actually analysing too much nowadays on things majority of people don’t even bother about.

For starters – I started wondering what is ‘achievement’. Seeking something and getting it or being ‘content’ with something. Does contentedness breed inaction? Is inaction a vice? Or is the fun only in the chase?

As if these were not enough questions, I watched The Matrix series with a lot more concentration and open mindedness(unfortunately) and THEN a whole new concept started eluding. I found an amazing video which makes you think( sounds boring but true) A very very interesting one if you ‘sit’ and watch

I am sure its a wild goose chase but what d you do in a vacation. Few others things i did do is spend a week in Delhi/Rishikesh and Mumbai over the pretext of some commitments.  Looking forward to more posts from myself 🙂

Not so random finishing line – When the journey is more exciting than the destination, thats when you have become a traveller!
